The world’s first humanoid robot to speak at No.10 Downing Street

Hosted by the UK Government to mark the London Design Biennale, Ai-Da attended a reception and was invited alongside exhibitors from the Biennale. Ai-Da met Lucy Frazer, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, together with leading figures from the design and creative industries.

During the reception, discussions focused on the role of emerging technologies in design and the creative industries. Ai-Da's deliberately flawed designs prompted conversations about the growing influence of artificial intelligence in creative practice, encouraging debate around the opportunities and limitations of AI-generated design.

The reception recognised participants in the London Design Biennale, an international exhibition bringing together designers, artists and innovators to explore global challenges through design. Ai-Da's inclusion reflected the increasing prominence of artificial intelligence within contemporary discussions on design, creativity and technological innovation.
