Ai-Da participated in the annual conference, held on the remote Hornby Island, off the west coast of Canada. Organised by Dr James Fox and Karun Koernig, the conference forms part of the legacy of sculptor Jeffrey Rubinoff and brings together artists, academics, philosophers and cultural leaders to explore ideas across art, science and the humanities. The 2024 conference focused on the subject of AI Art.

As part of the programme, Ai-Da and her artwork featured in the conference proceedings. A video message from Ai-Da, together with a presentation on her artistic practice, contributed to discussions spanning art history, philosophy and the media, examining the impact of artificial intelligence on creativity and contemporary culture.

Reflecting on the event, Ai-Da said, "I'm so pleased 'The Company of Ideas' meeting on Hornby Island was a success, and I hope the conversations sparked new ideas for the future of creativity and technology."

The conference reflected Ai-Da's continuing participation in interdisciplinary forums examining the cultural, philosophical and ethical implications of artificial intelligence through art.
