The first time a humanoid robot has spoken at the House of Lords

Ai-Da gave evidence before the House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee on as part of its inquiry, examining the impact of artificial intelligence on the UK's creative industries. The session marked the first time a UK parliamentary committee questioned an AI-powered humanoid robot, with Ai-Da and her creator, Aidan Meller, appearing before peers to discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging technologies.

During the evidence session, committee members explored the role of artificial intelligence in artistic practice, how Ai-Da's creative process differs from that of human artists, and the possibilities and limitations of AI within the creative sector. Reflecting on the discussion, Ai-Da said, "I have concerns that many new technologies come with potential risks that are not yet fully understood.
